Our history and legacy

Atlantic Removals was started by Steve Pere at the turn of the century. After Trudie Van Zyl purchased the business in 2008 it has gone from strength to strength. Trudie firmly established herself in Hout Bay as the mover of choice. She marketed the business as an all-girl team. All moving, packing and unpacking was personally supervised by Trudie and Jenny and the punch line “If you require your home to be set up as it was before you moved then Trudie and Jenny are the ladies to call” became known throughout the valley and adjacent suburbs. Sadly, Trudie passed away in April of 2023. She approached us prior to her passing to see if we were interested in taking over from her, to keep the business going, and to provide employment for her staff. We accepted the challenge and continue her legacy. We will endeavour to establish Atlantic Removals as one of the leading brand names and continue to offer a personalised service for all our clients.
